How to Install WordPress via Softaculous in cPanel

WordPress is the world's most popular CMS and installing it on your Hostinap Shared Hosting or Business Hosting account takes less than 5 minutes using Softaculous — our built-in auto-installer.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

Navigate to https://yourdomain.com/cpanel or use the direct link from your Hostinap Client Area. Enter your cPanel username and password.

Step 2: Open Softaculous Apps Installer

Scroll down to the Software section on the cPanel home screen. Click on Softaculous Apps Installer. You will see a dashboard of all available apps.

Step 3: Find and Select WordPress

Either use the search bar at the top to type "WordPress," or find it listed under the Blogs category. Click the WordPress icon, then click the blue Install Now button.

Step 4: Configure Your WordPress Site

Fill in the installation details:

• Choose Protocol: Select https:// (SSL should already be active on your account).
• Choose Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown.
• In Directory: Leave blank to install at the root (e.g., yourdomain.com). Type a folder name like blog to install at yourdomain.com/blog.
• Site Name & Description: Enter your website's name and a short tagline.
• Admin Username & Password: Choose a strong, unique password. Do NOT use "admin" as a username — it is a security risk.
• Admin Email: Enter your email address for password resets.

Step 5: Click Install

Scroll to the bottom and click the Install button. Softaculous will create the database, upload all WordPress files, and configure everything automatically. This typically takes 30–60 seconds.

Once complete, you will see a success screen with your Admin URL (e.g., yourdomain.com/wp-admin). Click it to log in to your new WordPress site.
